These National Cancer Institute brochures address Pap tests and Pap tests for older women. The format is bi-fold and tri-fold, respectively. Both answer ten commonly asked question related to getting a Pap test, and many of these questions are the same in both brochures. However, questions found only in the brochure targeting older women address issues such as when it is okay to stop getting a Pap test, whether or not Medicare helps pay for Pap tests, and whether a Pap test is still needed if a woman is no longer sexually active. Issues found only in the general brochure include HPV testing and what to expect during a pelvic exam.

Making Sense of Your Pap and HPV Test Results (English & Spanish)

This CDC material can be printed as single pages or as a bi-fold booklet (4 pages), and is offered in both English and Spanish. It targets women who have been screened for cervical cancer with a Pap/HPV test. It is set up in a question and answer format, answering questions about cervical cancer, screening tests, HPV and how it can be contracted, and the HPV vaccine and cervical cancer prevention. Tables give explanations based on HPV and Pap test results. Some suggested questions for patients to ask their physicians are also provided, in addition to information on gaining access to free or low-cost cervical cancer screening and follow-up tests.
