Austin A. Robinson received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics in 2009 from Brigham Young University where he graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors. His minor was in Russian Language.
His community service includes serving as a medical student volunteer at UCLA’s Student Run Homeless Clinic. He is a Personal Management merit badge counselor with the Boy Scouts of America – working with young scouts with goal setting in areas of finance and time management.
Aside from serving a term as Medical Student Representative for the CMA Foundation, Austin also serves as a delegate to AMA/CMA Medical Student Sections and as a Coordinator for the Oncology Interest Group, UCLA, which helps medical students pursue their interests in all divisions of oncology.
Austin received the Robert Booker Honors Scholarship in 2009 and was awarded First Place during the ACTR National Russian Essay Competition. He authored an undergraduate honors thesis entitled, Posttranslational Modification of an Intron-1 Retaining Cyclooxygenase-1 Splice Variant in Rat Spleen.
Austin is married and his wife, Rachel, is a master’s student in structural engineering at California State University, Long Beach.
