NEPO Launches Statewide Education Campaign on the Importance of Diversity in Clinical Trials

Sacramento, CA (March 28, 2017) – The California Medical Association (CMA) Foundation, through its cornerstone program, the Network of Ethnic Physician Organizations (NEPO), today announced the launch of its “Encouraging Diversity in Clinical Trials” campaign to increase clinical trial participation among California’s multi-ethic patient populations. Delivery System Reform, Medicare Payment Reform, & MACRA On April 27th CMS issued its first proposed regulation on MACRA, detailing elements of the Quality Payment Program (MIPS/APMs) that will change reimbursement under Medicare Part B.  If you haven’t seen the announcement, details can be found at the CMS website at http://go.cms.gov/QualityPaymentProgram.  On that site is a list of details, including a fact sheet on the elements of the new program.
