SUGARY DRINK WARNING LABEL MOVES THROUGH LEGISLATURE

SUGARY DRINK WARNING LABEL MOVES THROUGH LEGISLATURE Two Assembly committees will be considering a CMA sponsored bill (SB 1000, Monning) that will require sugary drinks sold in California to have a health warning label on Tuesday, June 17. The label, “STATE OF CALIFORNIA SAFETY WARNING: Drinking beverages with added sugar(s) contributes to obesity, diabetes, and tooth decay,” will help consumers make informed choices when buying sugary drinks.  To take action visit CMA’s webpage: http://www.cmanet.org/grassroots/campaign.dT/67/
