23 June American Diabetes Association Invites Nominations for Outstanding Educator in Diabetes Award June 23, 2014By CMA Foundation Diabetes American Diabetes Association, Outstanding Educator in Diabetes, ADA 0 The American Diabetes Association is inviting nominations for its 2015 Outstanding Educator in Diabetes Award. The annual award program is designed to stimulate, acknowledge, and reward outstanding educational efforts by a health professional working in the field of diabetes education. Nominees will have demonstrated significant long-term national or international contributions to the field of diabetes education; have many years of effort in the field of diabetes education; have evidence of benefit to recipients; and be well known to others in his/her area of expertise. Publications and teaching experience are factors in the selection process. A $3,000 honorarium will be awarded to the recipient, who will deliver the Outstanding Educator in Diabetes Award Lecture at the 75th Scientific Sessions in Boston, Massachusetts, June 5-9, 2015. The award includes two round-trip coach airfares and hotel accommodations for up to five nights, as well as other travel-related expenses and two complimentary registrations to scientific sessions for the recipient and a guest. To be eligible, nominees must be a member of ADA's National Professional Section. Both U.S. and non-U.S. residents are eligible for the award. Contributions and volunteer service to both national and international diabetes organizations and the broader diabetes community may also be taken into consideration.
