Important Deadlines for Physicians Coming July 1

Important deadlines for physicians are coming on July 1st! Read the information below to learn about these deadlines, and click the links to learn more.

CURES Registration
Under California law, all individuals practicing in California who possess both a state regulatory board license authorized to prescribe, dispense, furnish or order controlled substancesanda Drug Enforcement Administration Controlled Substance Registration Certificate (DEA Certificate) must register to use the Controlled Substance Utilization Review and Evaluation System (CURES)by July 1, 2016. Meaningful Use Hardship Exemption
July 1 is the deadline for physicians to file meaningful use hardship exception applications to avoid Medicare payment penalties in 2017. CMS has been authorized to issue a blanket exception to all physicians who submit their application no later than July 1, 2016. Clickhere for full details.
