World Hepatitis Day July 28 is World Hepatitis Day.  It is a day of awareness, prevention, and remembrance.  Hundreds of millions of individuals worldwide are currently living with a form of hepatitis and over a million individuals die each year from the disease.  Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver that can cause cirrhosis and liver cancer if untreated, but it can be treated through early detection. CMA Foundation and NEPO provide Hepatitis C screenings at Crenshaw HealthFest The California Medical Association (CMA) Foundation and its Network of Ethnic Physician Organizations (NEPO) were proud to partner with Assemblyman Sebastian Ridley Thomas this past weekend as co-sponsors of the first annual Crenshaw HealthFest in Los Angeles. The HealthFest took place on Saturday, July 11 at the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza.
