California Medical Association Foundation Promotes “Get Smart About Antibiotics Week”

Sacramento – The California Medical Association (CMA) Foundation joins hundreds of organizations across the globe including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in raising awareness around “Get Smart About Antibiotics Week” through its Alliance Working for Antibiotic Resistance Education (AWARE) program. Dr. Tamika Cross, a young black physician from Houston, was on a Delta Airlines flight headed from Detroit to Houston in early October. While in flight, a passenger required emergency care.
